Music in the Heart of BBCH: Bringing Joy, Connection, and Community

Music is woven into the fabric of life at Bernhard Baron , bringing joy, connection, and vibrancy to our community every day. From our very own BBCH Resident singing group to individual pianists and beloved entertainers, music is more than just background noise here; it’s a meaningful part of our culture and community spirit.

Celebrating Our Resident Singing Group

Our Residents’ singing group, led by the Residents themselves, brings together those with a passion for singing, building camaraderie and joy through regular rehearsals and performances. It’s a beautiful example of how music can unite people, bridging generations and creating lasting memories.

Piano Melodies That Brighten Our Days

We’re also fortunate to have a number of talented Residents who play the piano, often filling our home with uplifting melodies and heart warming tunes. These impromptu performances are always a pleasure for those nearby and remind us of the incredible talents within our community.

Guest Performers Bringing Classic Hits

Of course, BBCH also hosts a range of professional singers and entertainers who perform the timeless classics—from the Rat Pack hits to rock ‘n’ roll favourites from the ‘50s and ‘60s. These performances bring back fond memories, filling our halls with smiles and tapping feet as Residents enjoy songs they’ve loved for years.

Special Visits from the Parkinson’s Choir

Our musical offerings are further enhanced by visits from the Parkinson’s Choir. Their performances feature popular songs from The Greatest Show, “Hallelujah,” Adele’s “Make You Feel My Love,” “It’s Not Unusual,” and many more! Our Residents love joining in with the song sheets, creating a lively atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and laughter. Meeting Hamish the dog, who accompanies the choir, adds an extra layer of joy to these delightful visits!

Outings to Eastbourne Bandstand and the Royal Hippodrome Theatre

Our love for music doesn’t stop at our door. Outings to the vibrant Eastbourne Bandstand and the historic Royal Hippodrome Theatre are a highlight for many Residents. Whether it’s the thrill of an ABBA tribute, the elegance of a Proms night, or an evening of live theatre, these excursions are a wonderful way for our Residents to enjoy the East Sussex music scene. Each outing brings new experiences, excitement, and cherished memories for all.

At BBCH, music truly has the power to bring us together, uplift spirits, and create a welcoming, joyful atmosphere for all. It’s a reminder of the importance of staying connected to the things we love, and we’re proud to be a home where music thrives!
