At BBCH, we believe that life’s simple pleasures—good company, fresh air, and a nice cup of coffee—should be enjoyed every week. That’s why our regular outings are such a cherished part of our Residents’ experience.
Our trips take us to local garden centres, cafés, hotel tearooms, and local pubs, where Residents can enjoy the beautiful Sussex scenery, a warm drink, and a delicious slice of cake. These outings provide more than just refreshments; they offer opportunities for socialising and creating new memories with friends.
A favourite destination is the garden centre, where Residents enjoy browsing seasonal plants and ornaments, admiring the floral displays, and sometimes selecting a piece to add to their own garden area at BBCH.
We are very lucky to have some beautiful hotels and cafés right on our doorstep, including the Café at the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill, the Orangery Café at the Hydro Hotel, and the charming Staverton's Garden Centre Café.
And, of course, there’s always a bit of fun to be had on our pub trips to the British Queen in Willingdon. We are spoilt for choice with wonderful local pubs steeped in history. Many of these pubs also host charity events and music nights, which our Residents enjoy attending, soaking up the lively atmosphere while supporting good causes.
These outings are not just about the destinations; they are about the joy of shared experiences. Whether it’s a lively conversation over a cappuccino or a peaceful moment appreciating a beautifully landscaped garden, our Residents truly value these special trips.
