Celebrating Our Volunteers

Updated: Dec 12

Supporting our Residents in their day-to-day lives

At BBCH, we’re fortunate to have an incredible team of volunteers who enrich the lives of our Residents in countless ways. From helping out at craft sessions, Cheese & Wine evenings to summer fayres, day trips and organising and accompanying the hymns at the Sunday service. Their dedication and enthusiasm play a vital role in creating a vibrant and supportive environment.

Our craft sessions are a much-loved activity, and the creativity of our volunteers brings them to life. From helping Residents design beautiful greeting cards to guiding them through seasonal decorations, these sessions offer an opportunity to learn new skills, share laughs, and create treasured keepsakes.

Fayres and Celebrations

Every year, our summer fayre is a highlight on the BBCH calendar. Our volunteers help with putting up posters locally, setting up stalls and selling raffle tickets to manning stalls, they ensure the day runs smoothly for everyone.

Out and About

Our volunteers also support numerous outings throughout the year, helping Residents enjoy visits to gardens, community groups, pubs and local attractions. Whether it’s assisting with transport, providing a friendly hand to hold, or help on and off our mini bus, they make these outings more enjoyable and accessible. Their involvement allows our Residents to stay connected with the world beyond BBCH, creating cherished moments of adventure and discovery.

A Year-Round Gift

Our volunteers contribute in ways big and small, and their impact is felt throughout the year. Whether they’re helping with events, sharing their skills during group activities, or simply spending time with Residents, they embody the Quaker values of kindness, community, and care.

We are deeply grateful for their time, effort, and compassion. Our volunteers are not just helpers; they are cherished members of the BBCH family.

If you’re inspired to get involved, we’re always looking for more volunteers to join us. Whether you can spare an hour a week or help occasionally, your contribution can make a meaningful difference to the lives of our Residents.
